The Haunted Halls was a huge success! There was a way bigger turn out than we expected. The kids loved the Haunted Halls both the sweet and the scary sides. The kids loved the bounce houses and obstacle course. It was so great to see our hard work come to fruition and raise money for a good cause. It was great to see all the Haunted Club members wearing the T-shirts that we helped design. It was so fun to work on this project and help raise money for Riley Children's Hospital!

A couple of weeks ago Audra and I went to the Junior High on one of our long days. We worked with Mrs. Alcorn and Mrs. Bloomer to finalize the posters and worked on T-shirts and figuring out all the Junior High kids that want to participate in the Haunted Halls club. After we finished the posters, we printed them out and got them ready to be handed out at the football game that night. We also have been working on getting the T-shirts ordered for all the club and teachers helping out. We sent a google form to all students and teachers helping for them to fill out in order for us to get the T-shirt order in. After everyone that is participating responded we finalized the T-shirt order and got our final design. With the Haunted Halls only a few weeks away, Audra and I are planning on reaching out to some businesses and asking for gift cards to put into a raffle to raise more money for Riley!
My partner, Audra, and I had two project we were going to be working on during the first semester of school, because of this we pitched both of our ideas. In the time before the Giving Trees we are doing the Haunted Halls at New Palestine Junior High. This project is raining money for Riley Children's Hospital. We were contacted by Mrs. Alcorn at the Junior High who needed us to help run, set up, organize, and promote the Haunted Halls. Audra and I were very excited to get the chance to raise money for Riley and help the Junior High students have a great time. We started by designing flyers and T-shirts for the event. The flyers are going to be passed out at a High School football game and also hung up around the Junior High. The shirts are going to the staff and Junior High students helping with the Haunted Halls. We are also going to be leaving school on the long days to run fundraisers at the Junior High. These fundraisers like pop a shot at lunch and contests at Junior High volleyball and football games will raise money for Riley. The Haunted Halls are scheduled for October 28th where there will be candy, bounce houses, obstacle course, and a book fair. All proceeds from the fundraisers, bounce house wrist bands, and donations are going to Riley. I am really excited to work on this project and make it successful by getting a large donation for Riley. 0 Comments |
